System Requirements for The Witness

Most current generation computer systems will have no problem using The Witness^® website. If you can surf the internet and have Internet Explorer version 5.5 or newer, you are all set (We do however, recommend upgrading to the latest version of Internet Explorer, currently Version 6). Broadband Internet connection is recommended, but dial-up users will be able to use The Witness albeit at a slightly slower speed.

We do recommend a system with at least a 300Mhz processor running Windows XP, for best performance.

Also note that your personal computer system is only required to set-up your account and preferences for The Witness, it is not required for the continued operation of the system – there is no software to install. Many features of The Witness can also be accessed without a computer by using a touch-tone telephone.

Windows XP Service Pack 2 Users:  Please note that with Service Pack 2, Microsoft has upgraded Internet Explorer to include pop-up blocking technology.  This feature may interfere with some functionality of The Witness system.  If you are experiencing difficulty navigating the website, please set Internet Explorer to allow pop-ups for The Witness website.  This may also be required if you are currently using a 3rd party pop-up blocker.

Vehicle Requirements for The Witness

The Witness can be installed on virtually any vehicle, including cars, SUV's light and heavy-duty trucks and more.  The Witness can even be installed on antique or collector cars, as long as they utilize a standard 12 Volt electrical system.  For more information, please contact a dealer near you.
