The Witness^® Vehicle Protection System is a robust, yet affordable and easy-to-use tracking, monitoring and control system for your vehicle.  The Witness allows you to access the system via the internet, cell phone or land-based telephone, and track your vehicle as well as control key vehicle functions remotely.

Locate on Demand

Send a command from our secure web site, or any telephone, and The Witness will respond with the vehicle’s current location, including street address, vehicle speed and heading.

Two-way Communication with the Vehicle

Commands can be sent to or received from the device via any Internet or telephone connection. When a location request is sent, or when an alert is generated by the device – such as an “unauthorized movement” alert – the user can choose to receive the information automatically by telephone, email, or simply view the results on the web site.

Custom Alert Notifications

Set up custom notifications for each of your alert types. Notifications can be sent to a phone or up to two email addresses for each alert.

Door Unlock

Never get locked out again. Unlock your doors by sending a command from any telephone or Internet connection.

Immobilize

Remotely disable the starter motor and prevent the vehicle from starting. Vehicle will remain secure until starter is re-enabled by a command from the system. Won’t impact a vehicle that’s running until it’s turned off.

Extended Track

When engaged, this setting will cause the device to report its position, speed and heading every 5 minutes for a total of thirty minutes (seven “locates” in all).

Unauthorized Movement Alert

When the vehicle’s ignition is turned off, The Witness will report any movement of the vehicle beyond a minimum security threshold and will generate an alert to the user.

Excessive Speed Monitoring and Alert

The user can engage The Witness’s speed limit option to monitor the vehicle’s speed. When the chosen limit has been exceeded, The Witness will send an alert to the user’s phone or email.

Alarm Notifications

The Witness works with or without an external alarm system. Most of The Witness’s features, including key security features such as starter disable, unauthorized movement alert and locate on demand, are available without an external alarm. When an alarm system is present, The Witness will send telephone or email notifications that the alarm has been triggered.

Low Vehicle Battery Alert

If the vehicle’s main battery drops below safe operating levels, an alert will be sent from the device to the user’s phone or email.

Drive Zone Monitoring and Alert

When engaged, this feature will put an invisible, electronic boundary around the vehicle at a fixed distance from the vehicle’s current location (e.g., 20 miles). When the vehicle crosses this boundary, an alert is sent to the user’s phone or email.

Heartbeat Report

The Heartbeat report is an automated monthly maintenance and self-diagnostic test. Once a month, the device will report its position and a variety of diagnostic data, in order to ensure continued proper functioning of the unit.

Backup Battery

The Witness is equipped with a backup battery that will preserve full functionality of the device in the event that main vehicle power is lost. This provides a security buffer so that the vehicle can still be tracked in the event that the would-be thief cuts the vehicle battery.

Stealth Installation

All components of The Witness are installed in a completely invisible manner. The central unit, antennae and battery are all hidden so that there is no indication the vehicle contains a tracking device. This keeps the core security function safely stowed inside the vehicle, protected from tampering or disabling.

Self Diagnostic

Device will automatically report if there is a failure in the antenna, radio etc.
